Our Joy:

Live a Life of Generosity

At our church, we believe life is a long-term mission trip, and every day is a short-term mission opportunity. God's word makes it clear that it's our job to share the love of Christ with people we see every day, whether we're in our local community, or halfway across the world. And this mission not only impacts those we serve, but it is a pathway to spiritual transformation in our own lives.

There are so many ways to serve locally through Joy Community, as well as getting involved in global efforts to spread the Gospel of Christ. Whether you feel called to St. Charles County or another continent, we want to empower you to do the work God has called you to. Get involved today!

Serving Locally at Joy

As a community we value and encourage everyone to discover the joy and the reward of helping others through service. We’d love to invite you to join us as we seek to extend a loving hand to everyone in and around our neighborhood. If you'd like to get involved, please contact us today!. Here are some ways to serve locally:

Greeting Team

This team engages our guests and helps create a welcoming and safe culture at our worship service.

Tech Team

This team works with the audio and visual aspect of our worship. They run the lyrics on the screen, the audio, the lighting and the in-house and streaming video cast.

Setup / Teardown Team

This behind the scenes team helps to make sure that everything from chairs to connect cards are placed in the right place at the right time. They also take care of our room after service is over, making sure it’s good to go for the next use.

Nursery Team

This team ministers to our little ones in the nursery and also helps our parents to be able to fully engage in the main worship space. (Background Checks Necessary)

Sunday School Team

This team helps our children to understand the great stories of the bible as they discover and grow in their faith in Jesus.  (Background Checks Necessary)

Serve around the World

Our cross cultural missions program wants to train and send people on short-term trips to assist our established missionaries and provide a way for individuals to determine God’s leading for their lives in the realm of long-term ministry in a cross-cultural setting.

Our church recognizes that individuals in God’s church have differing gifts and callings. In addition to church-planting roles and gifts such as teaching, worship, discipleship and administration, we also want to encourage a vocation-based approach to serving. A vocation-based ministry is one that uses your particular training and skills in realms of service such as education, health, agriculture, or engineering to name some examples. We have served and are currently serving Granada, Nicaragua, South Africa, and Haiti.  If you are interested please contact Pastor Kevin Gambill.
