David Rispoli - Lead PASTOR
Pastor David Rispoli has been the lead pastor at Joy Community Church since 1997. At the age of 16, he was captured by a message about the love of God and committed his life to his passion of sharing that message with everyone he meets, seeing people come into a relationship with Jesus and making a difference in the world. David’s wife, Jennifer, is his partner in ministry and they have four wonderful children, Amanda, Alyssa, Anthony and Austin.

RACHEL REYNOLDS- Executive pastor
Pastor Rachel has been a Joy partner since 2019. Her faith journey has been and continues to be a crazy ride of trusting God wherever He leads. Her passions include building systems and processes to maximize growth. She also oversees Joy's Birth-5th grade ministry. Rachel has been married to her husband Nate since 2005. They have 2 daughters, Esther & Naomi. She is an active homeschooling mom and loves playing with the family pets.

Jennifer Cruse - Pastor of prayer, outreach and pastoral care
Pastor Jennifer has been a Joy partner since 2006, where she immediately began a leadership role as youth leader then Joy Kids leader. She has had a variety of roles in the community from foster parent advocate, Careportal coordinator, to Bright Futures board member, but most importantly, she is a wife and mother of 2 great kids. Jennifer's love for God and for God's people is what has brought her to this calling as a Pastor at Joy. She is passionate about exploring, following, sharing, and teaching God's word.

Scott Bowles - Worship pASTOR
Scott has been serving Joy since 1997 as Worship Leader. He has been married to Sandy for 31 years and they have two kids, Devon and Alison. Scott loves to play computer games and is addicted to chocolate. He is also a gigging musician around town in local restaurants.

Tim Kilz - Director of finance
Tim Kilz serves as Treasurer for Joy. He and his wife, Amy, and children, Jordan, Carley and Jack, have been partners at Joy since 1996. Tim and Amy are responsible for Joy's annual Trivia Night, which subsidizes the budget for youth ministry at Joy. As a long time partners, Tim feels Joy's best attribute is the "come as you are" attitude at Joy Community.

VAL BERGE - Communications Director
Val joined Joy Community Church in 2009 when looking for a confirmation program for her son Adam. She and her husband, Rick previously served as Front Line Ministry Leaders. Val retired from the City of St. Charles as Assistant Finance Director in 2020 and accepted the Director of Communications position in 2022. Her goal is to help people connect with Christ and with one another. She enjoys spending time with her two sons and their families, especially her two young granddaughters.

HEATHER STOCKMAN - DIRECTOR OF NEXTGEN MINISTRIES
Heather has been attending Joy since 2022. As the Diretor of NextGen ministries, she is deeply committed to nurturing and guiding our youth in their spiritual journey. Outside of Joy, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the lake, and riding her horses. She also enjoys attending concerts and sporting events. She cherishes time spent with her nephews, family, and friends, and truly enjoys meeting new people and building relationships. She is excited where God is leading her and to make an impact on the next generation!

Stacy johnson - Elder
Stacy has been a partner at Joy since 2014. She says that she is blessed to work in customer service for ISC Surfaces, a company that continues to show her much love and acceptance very similar to Joy. At Joy she is currently a leader in the Greeter/Usher Ministry and in training to be a part of Joy Care Ministry. Her Favorite thing about Joy is all of the amazing people who are passionate about worshipping God and loving others they way God loves us.

Chris Connelly - Elder
Chris & his wife Cindy are Charter members of Joy. Chris serves as a Police Lieutenant. Cindy is a retired Guidance Counselor who now serves as a Prevention Educator for Prevent Ed. The Connelly's serve in a variety of ministry areas at Joy and are committed to presenting our Lord Jesus to all! Chris & Cindy love Joy and each of our partners. They stand ready to walk alongside of our partners and offer their support.

Julie and her husband Tony along with their children, Eric and Molly have been partners with Joy since 2015. Julie is an elementary school teacher in the Pattonville School District. At Joy, Julie is a leader in the communion ministry. Since attending Joy, she has found and connected with many people to do life with. She invites you to come experience life with us!

Michele Heskin - elder
Michele and her husband Shayne have been partners at Joy since 2016. They have 2 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws and 3 grandchildren. Michele serves on the Communion team and the Greeters/Ushers team. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Michele is excited to help others feel welcome at Joy and support their faith journey.

Mitch Barbey
Mitch and his wife Jennifer became partners of Joy in 2014. Discovering Joy through its Church at the Bar ministry, they quickly realized they had found a new church home. Since that time, they have been involved in several ministries and are grateful to be part of Joy's mission to connect the community to Christ.

Shaun Perdue
Shaun and Sarah Perdue started at Joy Community church in 2020 we felt the Holy Spirit immediately fill us and felt so welcomed and loved by all the Pastors and Partners at Joy and we knew this was definitely the church that we wanted serve and be in ministry at. Since then, my wife and I serve in several ministries and we just want to help bring our community closer to Christ.

Nicole Muenks
Nicole has been married to her husband Mark since 1994 and they have four adult children. She has been a partner at Joy since 2023, and she immediately started serving on the children’s ministry team. Nicole is a third grade teacher in the Ft. Zumwalt school district, her passion has always been to help kids grow both educationally and spiritually. She believes that sharing Jesus begins with building meaningful relationships with people.
